Liverpool have had one of the most impressive transfer windows of any Premier League team.

Without losing a key name - providing Philippe Coutinho stays put - they have drastically improved their squad.

The addition of Mohamed Salah looks to be a shrewd move, while Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Andy Robertson and Dominic Solanke all add significant strength-in-depth.

And they have even bought for the future, with Naby Keita secured.

Other than confirmation of the Oxlade-Chamberlain deal, that was all she wrote for the final day of incomings.

A few youngsters went out on loan - and you can recap over everything that happened here.

Major ins: Naby Keita (£48m+, Red Bull Leipzig, July 2018), Mohamed Salah (£34m, Roma), Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain (£40m, Arsenal), Andy Robertson (£8m, Hull), Dominic Solanke (Bosman, Chelsea)

Major outs: Lucas (£5m, Lazio), Andre Wisdom (£4.5m, Derby)

Academy starlet on the move

Blackburn Rovers have signed Sam Hart from Liverpool.

The 20-year-old defender has signed a two-year deal at Ewood Park after the two sides agreed an undisclosed fee.

Hart got some first-team experience on loan at Port Vale last season and becomes Rovers’ 11th summer signing.

Ryan Kent joins Freiburg on loan

Ryan Kent has left Liverpool to join SC Freiburg on loan for the rest of the season.

The talented winger, who has made one appearance for Liverpool in the FA Cup, was wanted by a host of EFL clubs, including Coventry, Derby, Sunderland and Middlesbrough.

But Kent, 20, has opted for a move to the Bundesliga to continue this development.

Kent, who has been at Liverpool since he was seven, had a loan spell at Coventry during the 2015-16 campaign before spending last season at Barnsley.

Jordan Williams heads out

Liverpool youngster Jordan Williams has joined Rochdale on loan until January.

The Reds under-23 midfielder made his senior debut for Liverpool in September 2014 and will now spend the first half of this season in League One.

More on Sakho to Palace

Mamadou Sakho is joining Crystal Palace permanently in a £26million move from Liverpool.

Sakho spent last summer on loan at Palace and the Eagles were keen to bring the Liverpool outcast back to Selhurst Park to bolster their defence.

The Reds had played hardball in negotiations with Palace, rejecting a £22million offer plus £3million in add-ons.

The French centre-half was keen to return to Palace and they returned with an improved bid which Liverpool have accepted.

The Reds will be pleased to have secured a permanent deal for Sakho, who has been in the wilderness at Anfield since falling foul of Jurgen Klopp for disciplinary reasons last summer.

It is understood Sakho has agreed a five-year deal with Palace.

Lemar starts for France

Any faint, diminishing hopes that Liverpool could land Thomas Lemar have taken an near-fatal blow, as the player has been named in the starting line-up for France’s World Cup qualifier against the Netherlands tonight.

I dare say that means he won’t be signing any contracts or anything in the next couple of hours...

Liverpool accept Sakho bid

Reports are circulating that Liverpool have accepted a £26million bid from Crystal Palace for Mamadou Sakho.

The French defender will undergo a medical this evening.

Which is handy, as that’s when the deadline is.

You’ll have to excuse our man David Anderson, it’s been a long day...

That's all for now?

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will be Liverpool’s final summer capture after the Reds gave up on Thomas Lemar and Virgil van Dijk.

Liverpool were trying to persuade Monaco to sell Lemar before Arsenal came steaming in with a £90million offer.

But Monaco were reluctant to cash in on the France star, who is preparing for his country’s World Cup qualifier against Holland tonight, forcing Liverpool to admit defeat.

Liverpool have had to give up, even though Lemar was keen to work under Klopp and play for the Reds in the Champions League.

Lemar preferred Liverpool to Arsenal, but Monaco were adamant he could not join the exodus of stars from the Ligue 1 champs.

Liverpool had held out hope that Southampton might agree to sell van Dijk, but Saints never budged from their position that the Dutch centre-half is not for sale.

The Reds are still pleased with their window and they completed Oxlade-Chamberlain’s £35million move from Arsenal today to take their tally of signings to four.

They have also resisted Barcelona’s attempts to lure Philippe Coutinho away from Anfield, although the Spanish transfer window remains open until tomorrow.

Lemar-watch

Our man John Cross has an update on the Thomas Lemar saga - and it’s bad news for his Premier League suitors.

Liverpool have joined Arsenal in the chase for the France international (who is due to be in action with his country against the Netherlands tonight), but Monaco are digging in and insist he’s going nowhere.

We might as well all go to bed now...

Another player leaves on loan

News of another done deal as Toni Gomes has leaves to join Forest Green Rovers on loan for the rest of the season.

The academy forward is a Portuguese youth international and joined the Reds’ two years ago.

He has yet to trouble the first-team squad, but the 18-year-old will be looking to get some first-team minutes under his belt in League Two.

Forest Green Rovers have claimed four points from their opening four games in League Two.

Allan joins Apollon Limassol on loan

A done deal, as a Brazilian playmaker leaves Anfield.

Fear not though Reds fans, as it’s not that one.

It’s Allan Rodrigues de Souza, who has joined Apollon Limassol on loan for the rest of the season.

Allan, 20, has yet to play a senior game for Liverpool since joining two years ago.

He spent last season on loan at Hertha Berlin and has also had spells at SJK and St Truiden.

How’s that for a double dip!

I remember that move.

Days after Sander Westerveld made a horrible error at Bolton.

Not just one replacement, but TWO!

Origi joins Wolfsburg on loan

Liverpool striker Divock Origi has joined Wolfsburg on loan until the end of the season.

The Belgian international has fallen down the pecking order at Anfield and was desperate for regular first-team football.

Roberto Firmino, Daniel Sturridge and summer arrival Dominic Solanke are all ahead of him at the club.

Now the 22 year-old has inked a move to the Bundesliga club - who are paying £6million to take him for the season.

Carragher appears to suggest Virgil van Dijk will DEFINITELY sign

Jamie Carragher appeared to suggest Liverpool will sign Virgil Van Dijk this Transfer Deadline Day with a slip of the tongue on Sky Sports.

The former Reds centre-back was speaking generally about the transfer window when he claimed the broadcaster shouldn’t have called Jack Wilshere going to Birmingham on loan “breaking news”.

He added: “Virgil Van Dijk going to Liverpool will be breaking news later on tonight.”

Oxlade-Chamberlain says farewell to Arsenal

Oxlade-Chamberlain has said farewell to Arsenal.

Here’s what he’s had to say

“After six years, three FA Cups and countless incredible memories, the time has come for me to move on from Arsenal.

“I want to publicly thank Arsene, the coaching and club staff and my amazing team-mates for all of the incredible opportunities I have been given.

“Thank you so much to you, the fans, who always had my back - I honestly couldn’t be more grateful. The club, and my time here, will always mean a massive amount to me.

“I know my choice might come as a surprise to many, and the decision to leave was tough after being part of the club for so many years, but I feel that this move is right for the next stage of my ongoing development.”

Almost enough to bring a tear.

Arsenal back for Lemar

According to the club, that news is false and the stance remains the same.

So, as you were.

Jurgen Klopp makes surprise revelation

Jurgen Klopp says he has been tracking Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain’s progress for three years - and is delighted to bring the England midfielder to Liverpool.

Oxlade-Chamberlain has completed a £40million move from Arsenal, just days after the Gunners were demolished by Klopp’s Reds.

The 24-year-old has signed a five-year deal and could make his debut next week against Manchester City.

Oxlade-Chamberlain rejected a move to Premier League champions Chelsea to move to the north west and has also signed a contract some £60,000-a-week LESS than what he was offered by his former club.

Klopp delighted

Jurgen Klopp has welcomed Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain to the ‘Liverpool family’.

Here’s what he’s had to say about the Arsenal man’s £40million move.

“I am really, really happy we have got Alex signed. Since the last game I have been waiting and hoping we could make this transfer - and when I got the news he was ours it was fantastic.

“I remember the first time I saw him play live - it was at Dortmund in 2014 and he came on as a sub that day and made a big impact. He stood out immediately because of his pace and skills and his attitude in such a big game for a young player; I remember him chasing back to make a brilliant challenge on Mkhitaryan in the box to save a certain goal.

“We won that game but lost the return match at Arsenal when he started and played well, I think he hit the post. Since then I have followed him and when I heard it may be possible to sign him I didn’t need to think twice.

“I hear a lot of talk about positions but let’s talk about the player; he is someone with really good abilities who always gives everything for his team. A player that is positive and willing to take risks to try and make positive things happen.

“He may still be young but he has a lot of experience in the Premier League, Champions League and for his country. Already he is a very, very good player and I think he has the mentality and desire to get even better - and that excites me.

“This is someone making a tough decision to leave one great club and come to another great club and I think he had many options, so to get him means I am delighted.

“He didn’t make an easy decision but I think he made a great one to go on this journey with this squad of talented boys and our great supporters. I welcome him to the Liverpool family.”

Here's Ox

Well doesn’t he look nice in his new red shirt.

Better than his old red one?

First words from Oxlade-Chamberlain as a Liverpool player

“I’m currently away with England, so I’m at St George’s Park.

“Firstly, I’m delighted to have signed for Liverpool and a big thank-you to everyone here at the FA that has made this possible, using the facilities. It has been a massive help.

“I’m not going to say too much today; I’m here with England and we’ve got two big games coming up, so I want to focus on them. But I can’t wait to get to Melwood and you’ll hear first from me on LFCTV.”

Liverpool complete Oxlade-Chamberlain signing

Liverpool have completed the signing of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain in a £40million deal with Arsenal.
The England international rejected Chelsea to join up with Jurgen Klopp at Anfield.
The 24-year-old has signed a five-year deal and could make his debut next week against Manchester City.
A medical took place on Wednesday evening at St George’s Park before England’s flight to Malta for their World Cup qualifier.
A reluctance to continue playing as a wing-back has factored into the player’s decision, with a desire to play as a centre-midfielder.

Reds still pushing for Lemar & Van Dijk - but running out of time

Liverpool are prepared to smash their transfer record to land both Thomas Lemar and Virgil van Dijk.

But the Reds are running out of time to land their two remaining targets.

Liverpool are still trying to persuade Monaco to sell Lemar, having had a £57.4million bid rejected, and are willing to pay £70million for the France star.

Lemar, who scored 14 goals and made 17 assists last season for the Ligue 1 champions, is understood to be keen on a move to Anfield.

Liverpool are fast running out of time and Lemar is with Didier Deschamps’ France squad preparing for tonight’s World Cup qualifier against Holland at the Stade de France.

Oxlade-Chamberlain ready to roll

He’s certainly a lot happier than the last time he saw Liverpool shirts up close.

Again, just waiting on official confirmation now.

More Ox shots

Oh, hi there.

Down at St George’s Park, that looks like a certain Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

In a certain red shirt.

That deal is now very much done - just the announcement to come.

Tite on Coutinho

Brazil boss Tite has been talking about the Philippe Coutinho situation.

He’s set to play for the Selecao tonight.

Will he get a move to Barcelona? The transfer window in Spain remains open until tomorrow...

It has affected him and will continue to affect him until the transfer window closes.

If he leaves, he will continue to be affected because he’ll need time to adapt to his new club. Players are human beings and they respond in different ways.

I’m not sure how he will respond because it depends on the person.

I don’t have an opinion on what is best for him. If he stays at Liverpool. I will be happy. If he goes to Barcelona I will be happy too.

Our medical team contacted Liverpool to find out what the situation is.

It’s important that he is with us but at the same time we don’t want to take any risks.

Willian has been playing, he is doing great so, in fairness, he will start the match and Coutinho is benched.
