Liverpool fans are stunned by the team Jurgen Klopp has picked for the Merseyside derby against Everton.

The German has opted to bench key players Philippe Coutinho and Roberto Firmino and has instead selected Dominic Solanke and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

Danny Ings has also been named on the bench, while Andrew Robertson comes in at left back for the injured Alberto Moreno.

The Reds go into the game on the back of two brilliant results - a 7-0 win over Spartak Moscow and 5-1 win over Brighton.

Coutinho was made captain for the Champions League match, and put in a man of the match display by netting a hat-trick.

Everton have also been on a fairly good run of form recently, considering their terrible start to the campaign.

They go into the derby on the back of two wins in the Premier League - a 4-0 victory over West Ham and a 2-0 win over Huddersfield.

However, Sam Allardyce's Toffees were beaten 3-0 by Apollon Limassol in the Europa League last time out.
