Liverpool face a crunch Champions League clash in Slovenia on Tuesday night.

The Reds have two points from their two games so far ahead of the encounter with Maribor.

Jurgen Klopp's side continued their frustrating start to the season as they were held by Manchester United on Saturday.

And failure to pick up three points in Slovenia will leave Liverpool's Champions League hopes in danger.

Klopp has already confirmed Loris Karius will start for the third Group E encounter.

He will speak to the media in Slovenia around 5pm.

Liverpool squad: Karius, Wijnaldum, Lovren, Milner, Firmino, Coutinho, Salah, Gomez, Henderson, Sturridge, Grujic, Klavan, Moreno, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Mignolet, Can, Robertson, Solanke, Matip, Ward, Alexander-Arnold.

On injury latest

I am fit now.

I had issues with my back and my groin a couple of weeks ago.

I skipped the first game in the internationals which helped.

I was struggling but now it is over and I feel fit.

On playing twice a week

We are adapting well.

When Klopp arrived, we played in the Europa League with no gaps.

It is challenging because you want to play every game and win every game.

Everyone wants to be in this competition.

On clean sheet vs United

We didn’t allow them to pass through the centre of the pitch.

We showed we can do it but now must do that against every team.

We must show we are a strong defensive team.

Lovren on Maribor clashes

They are two really important games that we should go to win.

There are no easy games and we must respect every club in this competition.

It will be a challenge for us but if we win these games, there is a big chance to go through.

Mood in the camp

There is still frustration because we played much better than United.

We had chances that we didn’t take but after each game you have to take the positives.

We showed to everyone that we can play against big teams.

There is no bad mood within the dressing room. We are confident.

Lovren on Lukaku incident

I made a tackle and I felt he was over me and could have moved away.

My honest view is that he did it on purpose.

It is not my decision. He seemed nervous during the game and maybe that’s why.

Normally if you did it, you apologise.

It happened and it’s over. Nobody can change it.

That’s all from the Liverpool boss.

Dejan Lovren will be facing some questions now.

Stay tuned.

How far can Liverpool go?

I don’t know.

It depends on the games we play.

I am not interested in that at the moment.

Not before Wednesday morning will I even think about Tottenham.

We are a good team and we will see where it leads us to.

Morale within the squad

We have to be confident.

It was disappointment after the game - and that is because we deserved more.

We are in a good moment and we are looking forward.

It is easy to remember how hard we fought for the Champions League.

We have lost two games, one in the Capital One Cup and one with 10-men against Manchester City. 99 percent of teams in world football would lose against Manchester City at the moment.

Why should we lose confidence?

What to expect from Maribor

The two games we saw of Maribor were different.

They usually have to attack, they are the top team in Slovenia.

I saw an offensive-minded team against Sevilla and Spartak .

We need to be ready for this battle - it will be a high-intensity game.

Klopp is asked a comment from the Slovenian press.

His charisma and personality is admired - but there is a suggestion he is not a winner, unlike Mourinho.

So I am a charismatic, funny, loser?

Is Maribor a must-win game?

We are a group of four and they face each other twice as well.

It is possible we will win both or win one or lose both.

We have wasted points and the performances have been good.

We have to be very, very good again - and take the result.

On rotating his squad

Everybody thinks this is the place where you should rotate.

It is the last place I would. We cannot underestimate the opponent.

Maybe we will make one or two changes but that is it.

On impact of United draw

After the game, I thought we did well.

The performance should lead to more confidence.

Now, we face a decisive moment in the group stage.

We need to be concentrated and brave against a top team of a European League.

They are a good footballing team. We have a job to do and not think about the next game.

Here we go!

Klopp is in the house!

Stay tuned.

Transfer blow for Klopp?

Liverpool have been dealt a blow in their pursuit of Germany international Leon Goretzka, with Schalke attempting to tie him down to a bumper new deal.

But there might just be a silver lining for the Reds, if they can remain in the one competition fans are expecting them to progress in - the Champions League.

Goretzka has been on Liverpool’s radar for some time, and the club appears to be one of the favourites to sign the 22-year-old, what with Klopp’s Bundesliga connections.

And with his contract set to run out at the end of the season, interest in the German midfielder will only increase in the next few months.

Schalke are keen to tie Goretzka down to a new deal to keep him at the club, and have offered him a bumper new contract, according to Bild.

When will Lallana return?

Liverpool hope to have Adam Lallana available next month.

The England international hasn’t played at all this campaign after picking up a problem during pre-season.

He has stepped up his rehabilitation in Qatar and after his return to Melwood, Jurgen Klopp provided an update on Lallana.

If everything goes to plan Lallana could be fit for the Premier League match at Anfield on November 18, reports the Liverpool Echo.

It’s absolutely good news. Maybe after the next international break he could be back.

It would be fantastic for us of course. Everybody knows what kind of a quality player he is.

Welcome

Jurgen Klopp has confirmed Loris Karius will start for Liverpool against Maribor.

The German has started both Champions League group games so far and will retain his place.

Klopp will provide some further team news later this evening but he has suggested changes could be on the cards.

“Loris will start. If nothing happens from here on the way to Maribor, then Loris will start!” he said.

“We will see about rotation. I don’t think it is necessary, but maybe one, two, three or four changes [will be made]. We will see.

“It’s a very, very important game so, again, it’s always a decision about rhythm and being used to each other or bringing in fresh legs.
