Goalkeeper Loris Karius will start Liverpool 's Champions League match at home to Sevilla in preference to regular number one Simon Mignolet.

Playmaker P hilippe Coutinho will be in Liverpool's squad for the first time this season after his back injury and failed attempt to force a move to Barcelona.

Winger Mohamed Salah sat out training on Tuesday as a precaution because of illness but is expected to rejoin the squad on Wednesday, while centre-back Dejan Lovren is set to return at the expense of Ragnar Klavan.

“Salah's illness should not be that serious, actually," said Jurgen Klopp.

"Mo told me, 'I can train'. The doc told me, 'He can train', but I asked what is the best and she told me, 'If he doesn't have to train...' So then, 'No problem — go home.'

“He was in the meeting – wasn't allowed to breathe, but in the meeting — and we send him home, so that's all.

"The plan is he comes in tomorrow and he should be able to play, but of course I don't know exactly.”
