It may be the international break, but Jurgen Klopp remains hard at work on the Liverpool training ground as the German prepares for the visit of Manchester United this weekend.

The German arrived at Melwood this morning alongside the Reds players who are not on duty with their countries to continue preparations for Saturday's clash against the Red Devils.

Klopp's men currently sit in seventh place in the Premier League table, following an indifferent run of form which has seen them drop several points due to an ongoing series of defensive lapses.

The Reds chief will no doubt be working to to cut these out against a ruthless United side who have scored 21 goals in their seven Premier League games so far, as they side joint top of the table with their cross-town rivals City.

And while Klopp does not have his full squad to work with yet, the likes of Alberto Morena and Loris Karius were spotted arriving for duty.

This comes after a successful evening for a number of Liverpool players.

However, with the sweet comes the sour, as Andy Robertson was part of the Scottish side who missed out on a play-off spot when they could only draw with Slovenia.

There was good news for Philippe Coutinho, who was this morning nominated on the shortlist for the Balon d'Or.

Klopp's full squad will be back at training later this week, when all eyes will move onto the clash against their bitter rivals from Manchester.
