Manchester United apparently forgot to name Angel di Maria in a list of players who have represented both the Red Devils and Real Madrid - and fans obviously picked up on it.

The feature, which was written ahead of the Super Cup between the two teams, originally listed six players, according to a screenshot.

Everyone from Manchester United legends David Beckham and Cristiano Ronaldo to Michael Owen - who only had a short stint at Old Trafford - were included on the list.

However, it seemed di Maria, who joined the Red Devils back in 2014 for a whopping £60million - a then British record - was not included.

Now of course the apparent omission appeared to be little more than an error, and the online feature now includes di Maria's name within the list.

What's more, other fans noticed that Javier Hernandez, who enjoyed a much better spell than the now PSG winger at OId Trafford, was also missing from the list.

But that didn't stop supporters cracking jokes about why the Argentine wasn't included.

Oh the internet can be a very cruel, but humorous, place.
