Manchester City are hopeful they can move out misfits Eliaquim Mangala , Fabian Delph and Wilfried Bony before the transfer window closes.

West Brom are now favourites to sign Mangala after Inter Milan cooled their interest.

However any Baggies deal for the French flop, who cost City £41.4million three years ago, is not part of the Blues’ bid to sign Northern Ireland international Jonny Evans.

City have had an £18million bid rejected for Evans, who is also wanted by Leicester, and West Brom want £30million for the former Manchester United centre-half.

Swansea are ready to pay around £13million to re-sign Bony after selling him to City for £28million in January 2015.

Stoke have been chasing Delph all summer and the move is understood to have been held up because England midfielder is reluctant to take a big pay cut to leave City.

The Blues are prepared to write off most of the £78million they shelled out on the trio to get them off their books because they are not part of Pep Guardiola’s first-team plans.
