Jose Mourinho has hinted he could be welcoming back some of his injured players when Manchester United face Chelsea on Sunday.

Mourinho has six stars currently on the sidelines but has suggested there is a potential some of his crocks can feature at Stamford Bridge, as originally reported in the Manchester Evening News.

Jesse Lingard is the most likely to appear after being taken off as a precaution at half time against Benfica with a back injury - he will probably face a late fitness test.

Midfielders Paul Pogba, Marouane Fellaini and Micahel Carrick are all at least a week away from action with hamstring, knee and calf injuries.

Long term layoffs Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Marcos Rojo are also not fit enough to travel to west London.

"Have to wait a little bit," Mourinho said. "Normally press conference is a bit later in the week, we have Friday and Saturday, I'm not very optimistic but I don't want to lie, I don't want you to tell when I say no chance of recovering, so two more days to confirm my expectation.

"We are there (where players are soon back). I think in the next two days will be important in that decision."

Mourinho lost both games at Chelsea last season but won at his former club with Internazionale in 2010. The Portuguese was heckled with cries of 'Judas' by a minority of Chelsea fans during the FA Cup quarter-final in March and admits it is a 'little different' returning to Stamford Bridge with United.

"I played there with Inter and twice with Manchester United," he added. "I have to admit it's a little bit different but in the end I want to win like I did with Inter, they want to win like they did last season and it's just one more day and in a couple of years it will be even more natural.

"And in four or five years probably nobody will remember I was Chelsea manager and it becomes absolutely normal.

"Big match not because of that at all, big match because they are the champions and we are Manchester United."
