Manchester United's players were back in training at Carrington on Tuesday ahead of their trip to Swansea.

The Red Devils thrashed West Ham on Sunday, running out 4-0 winners.

Romelu Lukaku was at the double on his debut and attention now turns to Saturday lunchtime's visit to the Liberty Stadium.

United's stars arrived at their AON training complex before being put through their paces by Jose Mourinho and his coaching staff.

After his side's win over West Ham, Mourinho said: "We start the second season with a very good performance at home.

"We had many players on the pitch with a very good game and we have reasons to be optimistic.

"For me, years and years of experience and experience in the Premier League, my feet are on the ground and I am calm.

"Last season we were also top of the league in the first match (a 3-1 win at Bournemouth) and we finished sixth, so this means nothing.

"It just means we played well and confidence levels will be high and now our challenge is to keep these confidence levels. I think we can do better than last season."

Swansea have been boosted by the return to first-team training of striker Fernando Llorente.

The Spaniard broke his arm during pre-season and is now fit, although Paul Clement confirmed he won't be ready for Saturday's clash.

Swansea are also waiting to strike a deal for Everton with Gylfi Sigurdsson, although the saga could be resolved in the coming days.
