Jose Mourinho will speak to the press this afternoon as the Special One previews Manchester United's Premier League clash against Crystal Palace at Old Trafford.

United are looking to continue their impressive form after winning five of their opening six top-flight matches, and drawing the other.

They have also won two from two in the Champions League, including Wednesday night's 4-1 drubbing of CSKA Moscow in Russia.

Palace are yet to register a point or a goal in the Premier League and will arrive at the Theatre of Dreams as huge underdogs.

Follow what Mourinho has to say live here.

Jones and Carrick to miss out

While Mourinho is hopeful he will have some injured players available, those won’t include Phil Jones and Michael Carrick.

The English duo will remained sidelined for the Palace clash.

Another chance for players to stake their claims, then!

Mourinho's praise for Hodgson

Despite Palace’s position, Mourinho has warned his side against complacency.

He also has a word of praise for opposite number Roy Hodgson.

“He is an experienced coach with good players. They have a long time to reach their objectives.”

Mentality will be important

Mourinho has called on his players to have good mentality when they face basement boys Palace.

United didn’t arrive back in the country until 5am on Thursday morning after beating CSKA Moscow.

We are doing well. We have to play against every club home and away and when I look at the fixtures I only look to how much time we have to recover match to match that’s the only thing that concerns me.

The mentality is important because we played Wednesday night and didn’t get back until 5am.

Pogba injury 'long term'

Mourinho says Paul Pogba’s injury is ‘long term’, like Rojo and Ibrahimovic.

Zlatan isn’t expected to return until the new year, and it now seems the Frenchman also faces a lengthy injury layoff.

Huge blow for United.

Pogba cannot play tomorrow and it’s not an injury that I can have the hope with Valencia or Jones. Long term injuries I don’t speak about them, Ibra, Pogba and Rojo.

Mourinho: We'll make decisions after training

Mourinho hopes to have more players available for the Palace clash, but says decisions will be made after training.

“We have to train and make decisions after training,” says the boss.

“I hope some of the players that couldn’t play in Moscow can recover.”

A chance to close the goal difference gap?

Palace are bottom of the Premier League, and bottom for a reason.

United are currently four goals behind City at the top of the table, can they close that gap this weekend?

The Blues go to Stamford Bridge.

Hodgson on United

Roy Hodgson admits Palace will need a big slice of luck to get a result at Old Trafford.

There’s never a good time to play Man United and there is always a good time to play them.

I guess Jose will say it’s not idea to be playing Saturday afternoon after coming back from Russia but they have a strong team and on paper are stronger than we are. But it’s not played on paper and hope we can get some good luck.

United could be without six key players

Manchester United are facing being without SIX key players for their match against Crystal Palace at Old Trafford on Saturday.

The Red Devils hammered CSKA Moscow 4-1 in Russia on Wednesday night, but Anthony Martial, who scored and assisted Romelu Lukaku twice, limped off in the second half, although he is expected to be fit.

United travelled to Russia without Michael Carrick, Marouane Fellaini and Phil Jones, as well as Antonio Valencia, although it is believed the Ecuadorian was rested for the trip, report the Manchester Evening News.

Paul Pogba is out until next month at the earliest with a hamstring injury, while Marcos Rojo and Zlatan Ibrahimovic are continuing to recover from their long-term knee injuries.

Mourinho gave a succinct update on United’s injury situation but did not clarify how serious Martial’s knock was.

“Carrick has no chance,” Mourinho told BT Sport. “I think Jones I have many doubts. And Fellaini I have a hope, just a hope.”

United captain Carrick has made just one appearance this season in the Carabao Cup but Fellaini started the last two Premier League matches and was named man of the match in the opening Champions League win over Basel.
