Former Arsenal defender Martin Keown and former Spurs forward Garth Crooks came to a series of verbal blows on live TV on Sunday.

The pair were both appearing on BBC's Final Score as the Premier League's last day of fixtures took place.

Laurent Koscielny had just been sent off in Arsenal's game against Everton for a nasty challenge on Enner Valencia.

Clearly furious by this tackle, Crook launched into a speech at how the Frenchman should be leaving the field of play immediately.

"Once the referee brandishes the red card the player should walk," begins Crooks. "Because it calms everybody down."

Keown attempted to interject at this point to try and explain why Koscielny was still on the pitch, but Crooks was having none of it. The pundit kept overriding his colleague by saying "Hang on a second" louder and louder.

Crooks then finishes his speech by angrily brandishing the centre-back's challenge as "reckless".

Keown then can't help but take a swipe at Crooks. "What I was trying to say, had Garth given me the chance..." says Keown.

"You interrupted!" blasts back Crooks.

The awkward exchange even prompted presenter Jason Mohammad to tell the pair to calm down.

Keown continues: "He wanted to check the well-being of Valencia."

Kevin Kilbane, meanwhile, sits throughout the entire encounter with a big grin on his face.
