If there's one thing Neville Southall dislikes it is Tories.

And if there's another, it is Everton losing in meek fashion.

The latter happened on Sunday afternoon, as a woeful Blues side went down 2-0 to Leicester at the King Power Stadium for a sixth defeat in 10 Premier League matches this season.

Jamie Vardy opened the scoring in new Foxes boss Claude Puel's first game in charge, and then a comedy own goal from young defender Jonjoe Kenny doubled the hosts' lead.

And the result and performance drove Everton legend Neville Southall - who has built a cult following on Twitter of late due to his anti-Tory tweets - to lament the display.

Southall - who played with Blues caretaker manager David Unsworth during a 17-year Everton career in which he won two league titles and two FA Cups - didn't hold back in his assessment of the team, claiming that he was "angry" and that Unsworth "can't turn a Reliant Robin into a Ferrari."

And Southall was far from alone among Blues fans venting their frustrations.

Everton next go to Lyon in the Europa League on Thursday, before continuing their Premier League campaign at home to Watford next Sunday.
