Barcelona have released an incredible time-lapse video of the Nou Camp pitch being relayed ahead of the 2017-18 season.

The fixture took three days to complete as each groundsman worked from early morning to late at night.

As seen in the video, initial under grass work is done first before the pitch is planted in strips.

Barcelona, meanwhile, are busy on their pre-season tour of America.

Ernesto Valverde's men first beat Juventus 2-1 - thanks to some Neymar magic - before edging past Manchester United 1-0 on Wednesday night - again thanks to Neymar.

The fresh Nou Camp pitch will be greeted with a new boss.

Valverde was appointed Blaugrana coach in May following the expiration of Luis Enrique's contract.

The 53-year-old Spaniard played for Barcelona under Johan Cruyff but has now returned to complete his Nou Camp career.
