Manchester United have received a boost in their pursuit of Lucas Moura, according to reports from France.

The Red Devils are reportedly hot on the heels of the Paris Saint-Germain winger, as Jose Mourinho is keen to strengthen the position this January.

Manchester United were first interested in signing the Brazilian 25-year-old all the way back in 2012, and could complete a deal for him in the next few weeks.

But there are a number of other teams monitoring Moura's availability now that he has found game time harder to come by in France.

According to Telefoot, Manchester United remain favourites to land the Brazilian after he admitted they are the only Premier League team he wants to join.

One stumbling block is that United are believed to want to take Moura on loan.

The Paris Saint-Germain winger would rather a permanent deal, as he wants to get his career back on track following a stop-start first half to this campaign.

Moura has made just 6 appearances in all competitions for the Ligue 1 outfit, scoring just once in a 5-1 win against Metz.
