Manchester United star Paul Pogba has stepped up his recovery from a hamstring injury as he edges closer to a return to action.

The French midfielder has spent the past month on the sidelines after picking up the problem during the Champions League win over Basel on September 12, reports the Manchester Evening News.

Pogba has missed the past six games but is battling his way back to fitness after taking to the grass.

Having previously posted videos dancing around at the club's training base at Carrington and channelling his inner Bruce Lee with some strength exercises, Pogba has again taken to Instagram to give another positive update.

In his first video, captioned 'baby, I've missed you', he is seen slipping on a pair of football boots again and running through some high intensity sprinting exercises in the sunshine.

Pogba quickly deleted the video before posting another injury update a short time later - which has already been viewed nearly 1.5m times.

The midfielder, with a huge smile on his face, effortlessly takes to a Maxi Climber in the club's gym while wearing his favourite pair of United shorts.

The update comes on the same day that Mourinho backed Pogba to become a football great in an interview with French television station TF1.

"He can make football history," to told the Telefoot programme. "He has talent.

"We have the balance in midfield to occupy space better [this season]. [Partnered] with Matuidi [in the France team], I think he isn't happy."
