Last summer, Manchester United spent a world record £89million on securing Paul Pogba's services.
While this deal was going through, the Frenchman was enjoying his summer holiday with best pal Romelu Lukaku.
After the transfer went through, the Belgium striker recalled Pogba's reaction to re-joining United.
"I’d never seen Pogba so happy," said Lukaku. "It was a relief, a real happiness for Pogba [to sign for United].
"We only spoke once about football during our holidays - when we were at a pool in LA - and he was telling me about his dream to return to United. That’s when I understood what it meant."
Now, in some bizarre sort of symmetry, the tables have turned. Manchester United and Everton have this week agreed a whopping £75m for Lukaku .
And where is the 24-year-old? Currently on holiday in America with best pal Pogba.
The pair have hired out an apartment in Los Angeles, complete with back garden, swimming pool and dance floor.
Is it possible that Pogba had a hand in helping convince Lukaku to move to the Red Devils? Entirely.
The pair are as close as they come and a chance for the Belgium striker to join up with his best mate is a chance not to be turned down.
Of course, no one will ever know the conversations that took place between the pair, but there were plenty of hints along the way.
One particular example being the video Lukaku uploaded of him with a friend in a United shirt.
Hiring out luxury cars, enjoying the LA nightlife and soaking up The Big Orange sun - Agent Pogba has been hard at work.
