Jose Mourinho has confirmed Paul Pogba will not play any part for France in the upcoming international break.

The midfielder limped off early in the second-half during the Europa League win over Rostov.

Pogba appeared to strain his hamstring as he chased a loose ball and was replaced by Marouane Fellaini.

After the clash Mourinho confirmed he wont feature against Middlesbrough on Sunday or for France in the next week.

"I don't know how long for sure but there will be no Middlesbrough and no national team," Mourinho said.

After the clash, the United boss hit out at his side's fixture schedule having faced Chelsea in the FA Cup on Monday night.

They now take on managerless Middlesbrough at the Riverside on Sunday lunchtime.

"It is difficult to play Monday night with 10 men, it is difficult to play now and it is difficult to play on Sunday at 12 o'clock so we have lots of enemies. Normally the enemies should be Rostov but we have a lot of enemies.

"We have lots of things going against us and we will have to fight and we will probably lose on Sunday. Fatigue has a price."

Daley Blind was also withdrawn during the win over Rostov after suffering a blow to the head.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Ander Herrera are both suspended for the trip to the Riverside while Anthony Martial is also set to miss out.

Wayne Rooney could return despite being left out of the England squad on Thursday.
