Paul Scholes hit the nail on the head with his comments about Paul Pogba following Manchester United's 2-1 win over CSKA Moscow.

The France international has been a stand-out player for the Red Devils all season, helping to drive their attacking play from the middle of the park.

The 24-year-old has made eight Premier League appearances this season, netting three times and assisting five.

He's also been on the winning side all but once - a 2-2 draw with Stoke City - meaning United are undoubtedly stronger with him in their team.

But the Frenchman is set to miss the Red Devils' most important game of the season against Manchester City this weekend.

Pogba is suspended for the tie after being sent off in Manchester United's 3-1 win over Arsenal at the Emirates last weekend.

The midfielder landed on Hector Bellerin's calf with a brutal challenge to earn himself a straight red card from referee Andre Marriner.

Manchester United boss has now until Saturday afternoon to work on a game plan for the unbeaten Citizens, and there is no doubt he will leave no stone unturned in his preparation.

But Scholes has echoed the fears of the Red Devils supporters perfectly by questioning where United will get their creative intent from.

"He played well [against CSKA Moscow]. He was good. In patches he was very good and you can see the goal threat with him," Scholes said on BT Sport.

"He can take the ball anywhere and is willing to risk passes forward.

"Without that on Sunday [against Manchester City] you have to wonder whether United can create as many chances as they have done."
