Unhappy Liverpool fans have called on the club's chief executive to have a word about Philippe Coutinho's FIFA 18 rating.

With their tongues firmly in their cheeks, the Reds supporters reacted to Thursday evening's news that the Brazilian - who returned to training at Melwood on Thursday after failing to secure a move to Barcelona - has been rated at 86 by asking if the club's CEO Peter Moore, who spent 10 years working at games giant EA, if he could have a word to change it.

Many were also shocked that Coutinho is listed as a left-winger in the game, when he impressed towards the end of last season in centre midfield.

Moore has made a great effort to interact with fans since taking up his new job in the summer, but after some of these tweets he might well regret that.

Coutinho's rating was revealed along with the latest batch of players marked between the top 41 and 60 in the FIFA ratings , and Reds fans didn't seem too happy about his ranking generally.

The Brazilian is now back in full training at Liverpool after the international break, and could make his first Reds appearance of the season at Manchester City on Saturday.
