It was a nailed on penalty, wasn't it?

Early on in Monday night's clash between Arsenal and West Brom at the Emirates Stadium, Jay Rodriguez was felled by Shkodran Mustafi and pretty much everyone waited for referee Bobby Madley (Bobby isn't really a referee's name, is it?) to point to the spot.

But he didn't.

Baggies boss Tony Pulis was left livid with the lack of the award, but in reality perhaps he shouldn't have been surprised.

Because it is now incredibly 39 games - more than an entire season's worth of matches - since his men were given a penalty in the league.

How does that compare to everyone else in the division?

Well this is how many top-flight matches it has been since each team were given a spot-kick, with West Brom's opponents on Monday night almost rubbing the salt into their wounds.
