Manchester City star Raheem Sterling has responded to summer rumours that he was under consideration as part of a swap deal with Arsenal to bring Alexis Sanchez to the Etihad.

The Blues rejected those rumours, but the Gunners appear to be long-standing fans of the former Liverpool winger.

Sterling has spoken out on his future after settling into City's starting line-up this term following a disappointing campaign last year.

"I didn't think about it for one minute," Sterling said ahead of City's Champions League game with Napoli.

Guardiola appears to have brought out another dimension to Sterling this season, with seven goals and two assists and he has praised his manager for his influence.

"Pep has been massive for me," admitted Sterling. "Especially with basic and simple stuff."
