Marouane Fellaini has been spotted at the same Brussels hotel where PSG were staying this week.

The French giants were in Belgium for their Champions League tie with Anderlecht, which they cruised to an emphatic 4-0 victory.

Manchester United midfielder Fellaini was seen in venue where Unai Emery's squad had made base before the game.

However, United fans can relax as Manchester Evening Newsreporter Alex Porter explains in the full story below...

Manchester United fans can relax over Marouane Fellaini 's future.

The Belgium midfielder sparked rumours when he was filmed at Paris Saint-Germain's hotel in Brussels, where the Ligue 1 club were staying ahead of their Champions League clash against Anderlecht.

There were also rumours it could be related to Jose Mourinho 's future, after the manager referred to the 'magic' of Paris in an interview with Telefoot at the weekend.

But HLN correspondent Kristof Terreur has provided the more reasonable explanation that Fellaini is coincidentally staying at the same hotel while undergoing rehab for his knee ligament injury.

The 29-year-old injured his knee playing for his country against Bosnia, and is due to be out for a few weeks.

United have given him permission to complete his rehab in Brussels.

Filmed leaving the hotel, Fellaini's departure occurred before PSG had even arrived.

Fellaini missed the Liverpool fixture as a result of the injury and faces a battle to be fit for the trip to Stamford Bridge to face Chelsea next month.

Asked about Roberto Martinez' decision to play Fellaini against Bosnia, in what was a dead rubber after Belgium had already secured World Cup qualification, Mourinho said: "I was surprised [that Fellaini played], yes I was.

"Angry? No, not angry. I know that I cannot control what happens in the national teams, so I cannot be angry."
