Santi Cazorla has taken to Instagram to provide Arsene Wenger and Arsenal fans alike with a promising injury update.

The Emirates favourite has been out of action since October when he suffered an achilles tendonitis injury during the Gunners' 6-0 Champions League win over Ludogorets.

Cazorla has undergone multiple operations but still remains very much part of Wenger's plans, and was handed a new one-year deal in the summer.

And in his latest post, the Spaniard says he is "One step closer to returning".

The midfielder, who is currently carrying out his rehabilitation in Spain, can be seen doing a leg exercise against a goal post.

Using an elastic gym band wrapped around his legs, the 32-year-old sits up and down, working his quads and knees.
