Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata has opened up on his nightmare second spell at Real Madrid, and says the club "treated me like a child".
Juventus signed Morata for €20million in 2014, keeping him for two seasons where he became a regular member of the team, winning two Serie A titles and two Coppa Italias.
Seeing his potential, and interest from other top European clubs, Real Madrid exercised their buy back clause, snapping the Spaniard up for €30m.
Morata scored 20 goals in 43 appearances for Los Blancos last season, but something wasn't quite right. In the summer, the 25-year-old sealed a £58m move to Chelsea.
The striker has since revealed that he was discussing a move to Stamford Bridge with Antonio Conte as early as Spring.
"I came here because there was a coach like Antonio Conte," Morata told Gazetta dello Sport . "We started talking about my eventual transfer last spring and I finally came to London.
"I'm in debt with Conte. He had taken me for Juve and then left for Italy. When I knew he wanted me, I didn't think twice."
Morata then opened up on his nightmare year back at Madrid.
"There were contractual agreements to be respected," added Morata. "The disappointment was enormous.
"I went back to the starting point, they treated me like the child I was before the two seasons in Italy.
"I went as a child and I became a real player, I would never have left Italy and Juve, I miss Italy very much."
