Manchester City thrashed Liverpool 5-0 at the Etihad but the scoreline only told half of the story.
Gabriel Jesus was at the double for City after Sergio Aguero's opener but it was a red card to Sadio Mane that changed the game.
Liverpool started the brighter before Aguero rounded Simon Mignolet to open the scoring.
Mane was then shown a straight red card for a reckless challenge on Ederson, who was forced off on a stretcher.
Liverpool were furious at the decision but replays showed referee Jon Moss probably made the right call.
His dismissal put City firmly in control and they used the man advantage to full effect.
A perfect cross from Kevin De Bruyne provided Jesus with an easy opportunity to head home before Aguero teed up his strike partner for a tap-in early in the second-half.
Substitute Leroy Sane added a fourth after a one-two with Bernard Mendy and then curled in a stunning fifth in added time.
