Jo Lake, wife of former Manchester City player Paul, has promised she will do a naked conga in a car park if Kevin De Bruyne doesn't win this season's Player of the Year Award.

The ghostwriter and editor took to Twitter to make the announcement and said husband Paul would also be taking part.

De Bruyne has been in sensational form this season and produced a world-class display of passing during City's 7-2 win over Stoke, bagging two assists in the process.

So sure that the Belgian maestro is nailed on to win this season's prestigious Player of the Year Award, Mrs Lake Tweeted: "If Kevin De Bruyne doesn't win PFA Player of the Year Paul and I will do a naked conga around Kwik Save Stockport car par."

Paul Lake spent 10 years playing for Manchester City, making 110 appearances. But the former England U21 star could very well be known for something else if De Bruyne fails to win the POTY award.

However, Mrs Lake was very quick to respond to her Twitter replies and insist she was just joking.

Michael Philander said: "Come on man it's not even half way into the season."

Jo replied: "I'm having a little joke, man..."

Colin Patterson said: "Wowzer! That's a huge statement. Does Paul Lake know about this??"

Jo replied: "It would be a statement if Stocky Kwik Save still existed."

Winners of the award tend to go to a player that's helped guide his team to Premier League glory.

Last season, N'golo Kante lifted the trophy for his brilliant displays with Chelsea. The 2015/16 award went to Riyad Mahrez after Leicester City's shock title win.
