A young Huddersfield Town fan found an adorable way to thank one of his favourite players after his team's fairytale win over Manchester United .

Little Adam Bhana was at the Kirklees Stadium to see the Terriers 2-1 victory with goals from Aaron Mooy and Laurent Depoitre.

The youngster found a £5 at the football ground and - having been taught "we cannot keep what is not ours" - he thought of the perfect recipient.

In a heartwarming pencil-written letter to club director Sean Jarvis, Adam suggested that manager David Wagner should give the cash to Mooy as a reward.

The note read: "I was at the Huddersfield against Manchester United match.

"I found a £5 note at the stadium and gave it to my dad because we can not keep what is not ours.

"Can you please ask Mr Wagner if Aaron Mooy can keep the money because he played very well and scored yesterday.

"I have put the £5 pound note in the envelope."

Jarvis was charmed by the gesture, and shared the letter on Twitter, adding: "Pure class from young Adam."

Mooy himself later replied to the tweet, saying: "I would love to meet you Adam."

Boss Wagner hailed Huddersfield's victory over United as one of the proudest moments of his career.

The German watched on as his side stunned United at the John Smith's Stadium, running out 2-1 winners in West Yorkshire.

Goals from Mooy and Depoitre put them 2-0 up in the first half, which saw Jose Mourinho introduce Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Marcus Rashford at the break.

England striker Rashford pulled one back for the Red Devils, but Huddersfield hung on for one of the most famous results in their modern history.
