Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich has invited his former boss Jose Mourinho for dinner after today's clash with Manchester United .

The Blues welcome their title rivals to Stamford Bridge as Antonio Conte comes under scrutiny for a poor run of form.

Mourinho had two spells in charge of Chelsea, winning three Premier League titles, an FA Cup and three League Cups.

Conte led the west London club to the league title last season but his side are nine points behind this campaign's leaders Manchester City.

And they were thrashed by Roma in the Champions League in midweek.

According to T he Sun , it is not known if Mourinho, the most successful manager in Chelsea's history, has accepted the invitation.

But he said last year: "He [Abramovich] was never my friend. We always had the relationship of owner-manager.

"[We had a] very respectful relationship. But we were never close to each other."
