Kevin de Bruyne believes that signing Alexis Sanchez would complete a 'perfect' transfer window for Manchester City .

Pep Guardiola's men have gone in again for the Arsenal star who is in the final year of his contract as they step up their attempts to land him ahead of Thursday's deadline.

De Bruyne believes that City will "try everything" to land land the Chilean and sympathised with the unsettled 28-year-old.

"He's a very good player," De Bruyne told Sky Sports. "If we can come to us it'll be a good addition. City's doing business perfectly this summer and if they want him they will try everything to get him."

He added: "In my transfer I was waiting a long time. Every training session in Germany was open, so every time the camera is on you.

"It's a bit annoying because I was pretty sure I was signing for City but I had to wait two or three weeks and every time you go home it's like 'what's happening?' They say 'oh you can go.' Then say no you're staying. It can be very annoying."

Should City get their man then he will join Benjamin Mendy, Kyle Walker, Bernardo Silva, Ederson and Danilo in arriving at the Etihad this summer.

City go into the international break in fourth place in the embryonic Premier League table after two wins and a draw in their opening three games. They host Liverpool in the first game back following the break.
