Barcelona interested in Ramsey

Barcelona are keen on Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey, according to reports.

The Catalan giants are currently under a transfer embargo, meaning they are unable to sign any players in 2015. But that has not stopped them being linked with a number of players in recent months.

Gunners star Ramsey is the latest name in the mix, with The Sun claiming that Barça would be willing to stump up £50million to secure his signature.

There will be room in the Blaugrana squad for a central midfielder next season, withXavi having confirmed on Thursday that he will be on the move this summer after a trophy-laden spell at the Camp Nou.

Bellerin: Gunners not burnt out

Hector Bellerin has promised his Arsenal side will not go into the FA Cup Final suffering from an end-of-season hangover.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger admitted his players are suffering from fatigue and expressed concern after they failed to score, for the third home game running, in the midweek draw with Sunderland.

Wednesday night's point means Arsenal have all but secured third place ahead of the final Premier League game of the season against West Brom on Sunday, but the bigger worry is the Wembley showpiece with Aston Villa six days later that could see the Londoners retain the famous old trophy.

The Chilean made a big-money switch to the Emirates last summer, sensing his playing opportunities at Barcelona may be limited with the forward line of Lionel Messi, Neymar and Luis Suarez.

Giroud hits back at 'dull' Thierry Henry

Reaction: Henry's comments have forced an angry reaction from Giroud

Olivier Giroud has hit back at Thierry Henry after the Arsenal legend said the Gunners could not win the title with him as their main striker.

Henry said Arsene Wenger would need to sign four new players if they were to challenge Chelsea for the title next season, and that Giroud would need replacing.

Giroud has scored 14 Premier League goals this term in just 26 appearances, but has been accused of going 'missing' during the big games.

Following Arsenal's goalless draw with the new champions, Henry said: "I think Giroud is doing extremely well but can you win the league with him? I wouldn't think so."

Arsenal players attend Save The Children fundraiser

Arsenal's players were out in force for the Arsenal Foundation's annual fundraising bash in London.

During the event – which goes by the name 'A Night to Inspire' – the Foundation revealed that they have raised over £1million for global charity partner Save the Children.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger was presented with a '1 MILLION' shirt to mark the achievement, while Kieran Gibbs and Olivier Giroud starred in a special video shown to attendees.

“We are proud to support Save the Children’s fantastic work around the world," said Wenger.

Vidal done deal?

Arturo Vidal has agreed terms with Arsenal ahead of a potential summer switch, according to Italian news source Calciomercatoweb.

It is believed that the Gunners were alerted to his availability earlier this week after a reported offer from Liverpool for the former Manchester United target.

The report suggests that Vidal could be keen on linking up with his Chilean counterpart Alexis Sanchez at the Emirates.

It is expected that Vidal could demand a transfer fee of around £25million.

Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United are among the teams on red alert as Dani Alves looks set to leave Barcelona on a free transfer at the end of the season.

Spanish newspaper Sport report that the right-back has rejected a contract offer from the Catalan giants, which will see him leave the club at the end of the current campaign as his contract expires.

Barring any last minute change of heart, Alves is likely to leave the Nou Camp, as the 32-year-old sets his sights on pastures new.
