England starlet Chris Willock is set to leave Arsenal for Portuguese giants Benfica.

The 19-year-old forward is out of contract at the Emirates at the end of this month.

And Mirror Football understands the Londoner is close to agreeing a long-term deal with the Primeira Liga champions.

Highly-rated Willock, whose only two appearances for the Gunners came in the EFL Cup last season, has travelled to Portugal to discuss terms over the free transfer.

With his first-team opportunities limited at Arsenal, the England Under-19 international is hoping to push for a place in Benfica's starting XI next season.

It is believed Willock, who has been with the north London club since 2003, could get his chance to shine against Arsenal in the Emirates Cup next month.
