Leicester are said to be lining up a deal for Swansea City star Gylfi Sigurdsson - and that could be good new for Arsenal.

The Sun reports that the Foxes consider Sigurdsson a replacement for Riyad Mahrez, who is a target for Arsene Wenger.

Leicester's decision to prepare for life after Mahrez suggest they are indeed willing to do business this summer with the Algerian already stating his intention to move on.

Here are the rest of the Arsenal stories from Monday's papers...

Oxlade-Chamberlain ready to commit future to Gunners

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is ready to commit himself to Arsenal for the most important time of his career, writes John Cross.

Liverpool have been chasing the Arsenal midfielder and are desperate to try to lure him to Anfield this summer.

But Arsenal have made it clear they are determined to keep him and have begun talks over a new deal worth in excess of £100,000-a-week.

Arsenal are confident that 23-year-old Oxlade-Chamberlain will snub the chance to move north and join Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool to stay at the Emirates.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has already moved to try to tie up a deal within the next few weeks.

Giroud vows to stay and fight for place

Giroud, who scored a hat-trick against Paraguay on Friday night, said: “I am not necessarily insensitive to the proposals of French clubs, including a mythical club like Marseille.

“But my future is written at Arsenal for now. I still have two or three years left on my contract. I want to win the Premier League.”

Wenger reveals exactly how many signings he wants this summer

Arsene Wenger is eyeing evolution rather than revolution at Arsenal this summer, after declaring there will be "a maximum of three" signings, writes Alex Richards.

Wenger signed a two-year contract extension last week, despite calls for him to go after the north London club finished outside the top four for the first time in 21 years.

Monaco starlet Kylian Mbappe and Leicester's Riyad Mahrez are both on Wenger's radar, while there is still speculation surrounding the future of both Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil.

Speaking to beIN Sports, Wenger hinted at his faith in his current squad: “Between a maximum of two or three," said the Frenchman when asked how many additions he expects to make.

“We cannot spend as much as many other clubs because some clubs have external resources that allow them to be basically unlimited.
