Arsenal have reportedly offered Alexis Sanchez a new £300,000-a-week deal.

The Chilean has one year remaining on his current contract and has so far refused to sign an extension.

He appears to have accepted Arsenal's stance that he won't be sold this summer but there is hope he will stay beyond this season.

The Mail reports the deal would make Sanchez the Premier League's highest-paid player.

Will that be enough for him to stay?

Former Arsenal striker Alan Smith believes fan unity and a strong start to the season will be crucial to the club's success in the coming campaign.

Arsenal have been handed a boost in their bid to sign Jean-Michael Seri.

The Gunners are desperate to bolster their midfield and have identified the Nice man as one of their main targets.

And reports in Spain suggest that Barcelona have withdrawn their interest in the 26-year-old.

Nice are unlikely to let Seri leave for less than his €40million (£36m) release clause.

But Mundo Deportivo claim Barcelona are reluctant to spend that much - despite selling Neymar to Paris Saint-Germain for £199m.
