Arsenal are in crisis after two straight defeats in the Premier League and continued uncertainty over some of their star players.

Arsene Wenger has remained resilient in recent weeks, maintaining that Alexis Sanchez is simply not for sale.

But the manner in which the Gunners crumbled against Liverpool last weekend could alter that stance.

The Chilean was expected to help secure Arsenal Champions League football again, but if that proves beyond him, Arsenal could hit the reset button early.

Here are five candidates who could head for the exit at the Emirates before Thursday's deadline.

His career has drifted in recent years and when the Gunners needed a left-back this summer, they brought in Sead Kolasinac, who made the Bundesliga Team of the Year last season.

Watford and West Brom are in the hunt for Gibbs, with Arsenal looking for a fee in the region of £7m.

With Aaron Cresswell in the England squad, Gibbs may fancy squeezing into contention if he can move and impress this season.

Surprising reports have emerged with a week to go until the deadline that Shkodran Mustafi could be off, despite only signing for the Gunners last summer for £35m from Valencia.

The German international is attracting strong interest from Serie A, namely Inter Milan.

A loan deal with an option to buy could be in place before Thursday.

Alexis Sanchez

Sanchez has stalled on a new deal and Arsenal are facing a testing few days to see whether they can resist the temptation of selling their star man, knowing that he can walk away for nothing next summer.

Man City's interest in the Chilean is intensifying and a player-plus-cash deal, including Raheem Sterling, ought to at least earn serious consideration from those at the Emirates.

With a Premier League season that is already dwindling, Wenger may have a change of heart this week.

Mathieu Debuchy

A disaster since joining Arsenal, though not helped by injuries, Arsenal will be keen to cut ties this summer.

Even with the change in system, Debuchy has failed to receive a look-in.

Brighton could make a move to reignite the French full-back's career in boost their hopes of survival.
