Arsenal will not pursue the signing of Juan Cuadrado, according to reports.

The Gunners were reportedly interested in signing the Juventus winger, who previously struggled in the Premier League during his time at Chelsea.

But according to Calciomercato , Arsenal have decided that they will not move for the Colombian.

During the last transfer window, Cuadrado claimed that he "never thought about leaving" Juventus despite links elsewhere.

Roma and Paris Saint-Germain have both been closely tracking Cuadrado's progress.

Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil has been left out of Germany's squad for their World Cup qualifiers against Northern Ireland and Azerbaijan.

The World Cup winner joins Mario Gotze and Sami Khedira in being exiled from the group who are bidding to secure the Germans' place in next year's tournament in Russia.

Ozil has come under fire for his displays both last season and at the start of the current campaign, which looks likely to be his last with the Gunners.

The 28-year-old is out of contract in north London next summer and is yet to put pen to paper on fresh terms.

Jack Wilshere has declared he is “back” - and now he wants a new Arsenal contract and a return to the England squad.

The Gunners midfielder made only his second start of the season in the Europa League victory against BATE Borisov.

And injury-jinxed Wilshere, who suffered a crack to his fibula on loan at Bournemouth last season, ran the midfield in the 4-2 win over the Belarus champions in a vintage performance.

“I definitely feel I am back,” said Wilshere, 25. “People say it’s a long road but it was four months and I have had longer than that before. I feel good.

"People sometimes forget things in football. Last season I had a full season. Whether people think I did well or not I had a full season, and only picked up an impact injury at the end of the season.

"That was unfortunate timing but throughout my rehab it went well. I felt good coming back to Arsenal and into training and the boss has been good. He has been speaking to me, been patient and I feel good.”
