Arsene Wenger has revealed that he is looking to bring new players to Arsenal this summer, but refused to name Sami Khedira as a target.

The French boss spoke to journalists after the Gunners' 2-0 pre-season win over Boreham Wood yesterday and revealed that his summer spending is not done.

He has already confirmed the signings of Alexis Sanchez and Mathieu Debuchy in recent weeks for a combined total of £44million.

Khedira has been heavily linked with a move to the Emirates in recent weeks, so much so that a Real Madrid shop refused to sell shirts with the German's name on earlier this week.

However, the agent of the star insists that he was not in talks with a move to Arsenal.

Wenger remained coy on giving out names of his transfer targets.

"Look, I can't give you any names," Wenger told ESPN.

"What is good is that [Arsenal's German internationals] won the World Cup so their confidence should be stronger. Winning makes you only stronger and more confident and hopefully we'll benefit from that next season."

The manager confirmed that he would be strengthening his squad, with a new goalkeeper high on the wanted list.

Iker Casillas has revealed that he would like a move to the Emirates, but talks are yet to take place.

Wenger said: "You're never sure if you can do what you want, but we're still out there to strengthen our squad."
