Barcelona are prepared to abandon their plans to sign Mesut Ozil over fears over his love of the nightlife.
The Catalan giants have been considering the German as an alternative to Philippe Coutinho who they want to prise from Liverpool.
Barcelona believe Ozil would cost around £20million in January as his contract at Arsenal expires next summer.
That is significantly less than Coutinho, with the Brazilian likely to cost at least £100m more.
But according to Sport Barcelona fear they would have a repeat of their experience with Arda Turan if they sign Ozil.
Turan has proved a flop since he signed from Atletico Madrid in 2015.
He has played just 55 games for the La Liga side and looks set to be sold on.
Barcelona chiefs are also worried that Ozil's salary will disrupt the dressing room as they expect him to be on par with Luis Suarez on around £19m a year.
Ozil's injuries are also a concern and Barca fear his condition is not helped by him going out.
