Chelsea have not received a single offer for out-of-favour midfielder Florent Malouda, according to the Sun.

The former France international has been frozen out at Stamford Bridge and forced to train with the youth team as punishment for snubbing several moves last summer, including one from West Ham.

There were reports that he was preparing for a shock transfer to Brazil in January but the club have not received any enquiries as yet.

Santos were said to be interested but the player's £75,000 a week wages could prove a stumbling block.

Chelsea may be forced to consider letting the veteran winger leave for nothing in an effort to save £1.2million by getting his wages off the payroll.

A Stamford Bridge insider told the Sun: “It’s becoming a very awkward situation.

“He wants to leave and the club want him to leave. But while he is not playing for the first team he has dropped off the radar and clubs forget about him.

“Chelsea would think about waiving a fee just to get something done if the right club came in.”

Malouda cost Chelsea £15m when he signed from Lyon in 2007, but refused to  to take a pay cut last summer and insisted he would see out his contract, which expires in June this year.
