Chelsea have won the race for Ajax wonder kid Daishawn Redan with an image surfacing on the Dutch starlet's social media holding a Blues shirt with his name and No.9 on the back.
Manchester United were strongly interested in the Dutch forward but the Premier League champions have won the race and will likely be officially unveiled later this week along with various other academy announcements.
Manchester City and RB Leipzig were also reportedly keen on the 16-year-old, who featured as high as the under-19s for the Eredivisie giants.
Thought to be Ajax's most talented prospect in their famed academy, Redan has also impressed throughout the Dutch youth sides.
Redan has 21 goals in 29 games spread across U15, U16 and U17 level.
“Crazy Daishawn, he really lives for goals,” said his former coach Brian Tevreden. “A real striker.
"Every ball he gets, he wants to make something. I can already say he is a little phenomenon.”
