Giorgio Chiellini will dash Chelsea's hopes of signing him by penning a new contract with Juventus.

That is according to Italian outlet Calciomercato, who say the Italian international is set to agree fresh terms with the Old Lady.

Blues boss Antonio Conte was keen on a reunion with Chiellini at the Bridge of the summer but couldn't manage to strike a deal with the Bianconeri.

Chiellini is an important part of Juve's rearguard, particularly after they sold Leonardo Bonucci to AC Milan.

His current deal in Turin expires at the end of the season.
