Chelsea have reportedly seen a £22million bid for Bayer Levekusen winger Leon Bailey rejected.

The Blues sent scouts to watch the Jamaican last Friday when he provided a pair of assists in a 2-0 win over Stuttgart, which was enough to see them open the bidding, report the Daily Mail .

But that opening offer has been rejected, in a development that will alert Bailey's other big-name suitors including Manchester United, Liverpool and Barcelona.

The Blues see the 20-year-old as a long-term replacement for Willian or Eden Hazard, but the Bundesliga side are digging their heels in, as they try to keep the Jamaican Under-23 international at the club.
