Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has admitted he would find it 'exciting' to manage the Brazilian national team.

The Red Devils boss is only in his first season in charge at Old Trafford, but admits he will need an 'easier' job when he eventually moves on.

It would be Mourinho's first venture into international football, but the former Chelsea boss highlights the difficulty for the Selecao chief due to the country's passion for football.

"I think following Manchester United I need an easier job than Manchester United, and coaching the Brazilian team should be more difficult," Mourinho told ESPN Brasil.

"Obviously it would be exciting, any coach wants to work with the best clubs and with the best. The Brazilian team is obviously a leader of success, obviously with talent, no matter what the generation, talent always appears.

"But I have to confess that it must be difficult, in every Brazilian there is a coach, in each journalist there is a better coach than the coach. I think it must be a difficult country to work for, but also a passionate one."

Mourinho has also distanced himself from a move for Samba sensation Neymar, insisting Barcelona would never sell him, though reports have suggested the Red Devils may meet the incredibly figure of £173m to trigger his buyout clause.

"I always try to be objective and pragmatic with the clubs and ask the clubs for what can be given to me. Neymar is absurd," Mourinho told ESPN.

"A club like Barcelona cannot and will not lose Neymar. Although Messi is still a young player with years to go, he is already 30, and Neymar will be the great player of Barcelona after Messi.

"I think [trying to sign him is like] going to try to break into a safe - impossible."

Mourinho has struggled to inspire his side during his first season in charge at Old Trafford with his side languishing in fifth place.

But United are likely to back Mourinho in the market once again to complete his squad overhaul and launch a legitimate title bid.
