Jurgen Klopp is already planning for the future as he sets his sights on Mexican wonder kid Diego Lainez.

The Liverpool boss sent scouts to the under-17 World Cup and attacking midfielder Lainez has been pin-pointed as the starlet to go for.

Lainez netted twice against England at the World Cup as the Mexicans crashed out early in the round of 16, according to ESPN.

Lainez currently plays for Club America, where he broke through as a 16 year old last season, and is seen as one of the biggest talents in world football.

Klopp is hoping Lainez will be part of the next generation of Reds - with Rhian Brewster also impressing at the tournament.

Liverpool board promise Jurgen Klopp every penny if Philippe Coutinho leaves for £130million in January

Jurgen Klopp has been told by Liverpool’s owners that he will be given all the money from the sale of Philippe Coutinho.

The Anfield club are braced for another £130million bid for Coutinho in January with Barcelona confident they can finally land the playmaker.

And all the money received will be given to Klopp for rebuilding – starting with Southampton’s Virgil van Dijk.

Liverpool are in desperate need of defensive reinforcements after some erratic displays which have seen the club fall off the pace in the title race.

Southampton will demand £70m for the Dutch defender but, if Liverpool give Coutinho the green light to go, that will trigger an immediate move for Van Dijk – and still leave cash spare to search for ways to replace the Brazilian star.

Coutinho is still a big priority for the Catalan giants who failed to sign the 25-year-old in the summer despite repeated attempts to persuade FSG to sell their prized asset.

And reports in Spain suggest Barcelona believe they can finally land their man with Liverpool shifting their stance on Coutinho.

Jurgen Klopp explains exactly what happened to Dejan Lovren in Liverpool's warm-up ahead of Huddersfield

Jurgen Klopp has provided an explanation on what happened to Dejan Lovren in Liverpool's warm-up ahead of their 3-0 win over Huddersfield.

The Serbian centre-back was meant to start the Premier League fixture, and was training on the pitch alongside his Reds teammates at Anfield.

But moments later it was announced that Lovren would not be playing any part of the fixture after picking up an injury.

Ragnar Klavan was announced as the Serbian's replacement, and went on to play the entire game, which Liverpool won 3-0.

Speaking about what happened to the defender, Klopp told Liverpool's official website: "It was the last pass. Maybe you saw it.

"Joel [Matip] and Dejan were exchanging passes and then in the last one, he felt something in the muscle.

"I don't know exactly, we had no time – the only question I asked in the treatment room was, 'Yes or no?' and I got a no and then we changed. It is his thigh."
