Lionel Messi is seriously considering his future at Barcelona after the Catalan giants suffered a difficult transfer window.

That is according to The Sun, who say Manchester City are monitoring the Argentine's situation.

Messi is yet to put pen to paper on fresh terms at the Nou Camp, and has reportedly grown frustrated after pal Neymar was sold to PSG and Barca failed to land Philippe Coutinho.

Ousmane Dembele did arrive, but Ernesto Valverde's were humbled by Real Madrid in the Spanish Super Cup prior to the Liga season starting.
