Liverpool have received a boost in their pursuit for Napoli left-back Faouzi Ghoulam, after one of his team-mates' agent suggested he will not sign a new deal at the Serie A side.

Mario Giuffredi, who represents Mino Rui, claimed that if the 26-year-old "wanted to renew, he'd already have done it" on Radio Crc report Football Italia .

The Algerian international joined Napoli from Saint-Etienne in 2014 and has established himself as one of Serie A's best left-backs.

Liverpool, who's problems in defence have been well documented this season, have been linked with Ghoulam, who would likely be an excellent fit for Jurgen Klopp's style of play.

His current deal expires at the end of this season, meaning he will be able to talk to overseas clubs in January, ahead of a free transfer in the summer.

The Reds dominated possession against Spartak but had to settle for a point.

Spartak took an unlikely lead through Fernando's free-kick before Philippe Coutinho levelled.

Liverpool pushed for a winner but failed to find a way through with sub keeper Selikhov denying Salah in added time.

Manchester United and Arsenal are among the clubs tracking MK Dons starlet Dylan Asonganyi.

Prolific striker Asonganyi, 16, has started the season with nine goals in just seven games for MK Dons' under-18s.

His form has alerted United and Arsenal along with Liverpool and West Ham who are monitoring Asonganyi's progress too.

But MK Dons will be keen to hold onto powerful frontman who turns 17 in December.

And the club's first-team staff have also taken note of England youth international's displays and he has been tipped for a senior debut in the next few months.
