Arsenal forward Lucas Perez is a summer target for Sevilla and Deportivo La Coruna, according to the player's agent.

The Spaniard arrived at the Emirates in a £17million from Deportivo last summer when he signed a four-year deal, but has struggled to make an impact on Arsene Wenger's first-team.

The 28-year-old made just two starts in the Premier League this season, as injuries and competition for places made it a season to forget for Perez.

This has led to speculation that he is looking to return to Spain this summer and his agent Rodrigo Fernandez has confirmed that there is interest in his client.

“The key date is 3 July when Arsenal’s pre-season begins,” he told Radio Galega. “Anything is possible -the president of Deportivo can do wonders while last year I met with Sevilla, who again are interested.”

Perez has previously made it clear he wants to leave the club, while Wenger last month admitted that he "feels sorry" for the striker.

"He’s a top quality striker but I couldn’t give him the games he wants and deserves, I confess that. I feel a bit sorry for him.

"If I am the manager I would love to keep him but we have to sit down and see if he has a realistic chance to play."
