Manchester City have reportedly identified Napoli defender Faouzi Ghoulam as a target for the January transfer window.
The Algerian international has been earmarked as a temporary replacement for Benjamin Mendy who is set to miss the rest of the season though injury.
Reports in France suggest that City will move to sign Ghoulam for a cut price fee as his current deal in Italy expires at the end of the season.
Ghoulam has previously been linked with a move to Liverpool.
City are short at left-back with Fabian Delph filling in against Chelsea, with Danilo their other option.
