Manchester United could yet sign Monaco star Fabinho in January, according to reports.

The Brazilian was heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford during the summer but a deal never materialised, with Monaco keen to ensure all of their big names didn't move on.

But according to Calciomercato, United could return in the next transfer window with a new £52million bid.

Paris Saint-Germain remain interested, but Financial Fair Play rulings could stand in their way if they want to make the loan move of Kylian Mbappe permanent.

Juventus are also keen on the 23-year-old.

Jose Mourinho has admitted he has "no idea" when star midfielder Paul Pogba will return from injury.

The Frenchman was originally thought to be facing six weeks on the sidelines after suffering a hamstring injury against Basel but it now sounds as though he could be out for even longer.

Speaking ahead of Manchester United's clash with Southampton on Saturday, Mourinho said Pogba's return date was unknown but added he was not going to sit around 'crying' about the situation.

"I have no idea when he [Pogba] will be back, no idea, but again, this is a great opportunity for other players to play and I trust them all," said Mourinho.

"I'm not going to cry or be counting the days until Pogba comes back. When he comes back, welcome, but until then I trust my people."
