Manchester United are continuing to monitor Sergej-Milinkovic Savic, with Jose Mourinho reportedly sending his scouts to witness the Lazio chm midfielder's decisive display against Sampdoria at the weekend.

According to reports in Italy, United scouts were in attendance as the Serbian midfielder played a key role in Lazio's late comeback at the Marassi.

With the Rome club trailing 1-0, the Spanish-born midfielder came up trumps, scoring the equaliser 11 minutes from time.

And the 22-year-old wasn't finished there, his driving run and reverse pass in injury time eventually being turned home by Felipe Caicedo as the Biancocelesti claimed a 2-1 win.

Milinkovic-Savic has been linked with a big-money move over the last 12 months, with Lazio's sporting director Igli Tare claiming they rejected a €70million move last summer, reports Calciomercato.

Earlier this season the player's agent, Mateja Kezman, confirmed a number of Europe's Champions League contenders had been keeping tabs on his situation.

“There’s been a lot of interest from several clubs, such as those in Madrid, Manchester and Milan," said Kezman.

“But he wants to be happy, to play to keep growing and become one of the best in his role. It’s difficult to see him away from Lazio, where he has started the season very well, but I can’t rule out him leaving.

“We’ll see what happens but, for now, what matters is that he’s growing under [Simone] Inzaghi, who’s a great coach.

“Right now, Milinkovic-Savic is happy to continue his adventure in Rome with Lazio."
