Manchester United are considering a swoop for Borussia Dortmund sensation Christian Pulisic, according to reports.

Pulisic, 19, is considered one of the brightest young talents in the world and is already a key man for Dortmund and the USA national team.

He made his first-team debut for Dortmund when he was just 16 years old.

The Daily Mail report that United have maintained a 'watching brief' on the winger and the club have been putting together scouting reports.

Jose Mourinho reportedly wants to sign a new wide man and a playmaker in January.

United complain about fixture congestion

Manchester United have released research to show that their fixture congestion is worse than any of their rivals - only to be laughed at by rival fans.

United face games against Leicester, Burnley, Southampton, Everton and Derby before the first weekend of 2018.

Furious with the congestion, club officials conducted research to compare their fixture list to other members of the top six in the Premier League.

They concluded that some sides have extended breaks between their fixtures, with more free time to recover on non-matchdays.

No action for Mourinho 'tactical foul' jibe

Jose Mourinho will face no further action for the 'tactical foul' comments he made prior to the Manchester derby.

The Manchester United boss has been reminded than any further comments about match officials could result in disciplinary action against him.

Mourinho warned referee Michael Oliver before the derby, which City won 2-1, to look out for City’s 'tactical fouls' when they are defending counter-attacks.

He also said: "If you ask me one thing that I don’t like a lot is that they lose their balance very easily. A little bit of wind and they fall."
